Need Outlook 2007 PST splitter ?

Whenever I do something in my outlook 2007, it says that outlook.pst file has reached its maximum size, permanently delete some items etc. Though my outlook PST is 1.8 GB whereas the max size is 20 GB. I am getting this message anytime I try to copy or move calendar appointment, dismiss a reminder etc. Above all I am not receiving emails because of this, but the send/receive process appears to be going on but does not complete successfully. I can’t find the answer, though I think PST splitter would do the work.

Such problems of oversized PST file occur in Outlook 2007 in spite of its small size around 2 GB is because when you create PST file two options are there for you. The PST file can be created using old format or new format and if you use the old format the size limit is restricted to 2 GB limit. In other words you have older ANSI PST which has lower size limit.

For correcting this problem, you can create a new profile via the mail icon in control panel with new Unicode format PST. After this you can start outlook with new profile use file-open-open the PST file (old one, the one which was in use previously)

  • Show items (emails, tasks, calendar etc) in table view
  • Select all with ctrl +A and drag and drop them in the same folder of new profile

Actually, it is possible to change the default PST in your new profile to the previously used profile but copying data gets around possible corruption in the old PST and will also rebuild the data structure and to be on safer side and escape from loss or inaccessibility of data it is always recommended to use professional Outlook 2007 PST splitter.

Outlook 2007 PST splitter will efficiently split the file into smaller sizes that can be used independently. For later use you can create new profile in new format.
